Episode 101: That Lazy Sunday Morning Feeling

There's few things in life as luxurious as a truly quiet Sunday morning. Other little joys include waking up before the rest of the world, stargazing in the darkest valley you've ever seen and the beauty of spending time with friends who know and love you.

Waking up before the rest of the world to get ahead on something that matters to you.

When the water in the shower is the perfect temperature

Sketching something idly in your notebook while you’re talking on the phone.

Making time to practice your hobbies.

Stargazing late at night in a perfectly dark place.

Hot buttery scones, fresh out of the oven with lemon curd and whipped cream.

Resting, giving yourself space to rest, time to do nothing at all.

Refusing to compare yourself to other people.

Cold chocolate milk, drunk right out of the carton.

When someone tells you a story designed to entertain you, and particularly you.

Tying the perfect bow in a big silk ribbon.

Finding an old stuffed animal from childhood, remembering how much you loved it.

Gathering all your courage and telling someone the truth, even though it’s hard.

Fresh English peas, asparagus, artichokes in a creamy pasta dish.

That lazy Sunday morning feel, calm, content and filled with peace.

Watching fireworks explode from far away, the little bursts of color with no sound.

Photographs of your family from before you were born.

Staying up way too late texting someone.

Blowing bubbles, watching little kids try to catch them in the wind.

Feeling completely comfortable with someone else, entirely yourself in every way, no pretenses, no pretending.
